هناك مصطلحات تختلف عن معانيها المشهورة والمتداولة بين الناس، ولكن تبقى هناك صلة بين المعنى اللغوي والاصطلاح الشائع.
فمثلا: الصلاة في اللغة: الدعاء، وفي الشرع: أقوال وأفعال مخصوصة، في أزمان مخصوصة.
وهنا نود الإشارة غلى كلمة (جثة) في اللغة العربية، فهي لا تخص وصف الميت، وإنما تُستخدم للنائم أيضاً؛ لأن النائم يشبه الميت في عدم الحركة.
{اللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْأَنْفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّتِي لَمْ تَمُتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا فَيُمْسِكُ الَّتِي قَضَى عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ الْأُخْرَى إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ} [الزمر: 42].
وبعض أهل اللغة يصف القاعد أيضاً بأنه جثة، فكل نائم جثة وإن كان حياً، وكل قاعد جثة وإن كان حياً.
وكثير من الناس اليوم يعانون من هذا الموت غير المعلن، ومن القعود الذي هو موت في حركة التاريخ؛ وإن كان يحيا حياة نباتية يأكل ويشرب، قال تعالى: {وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَتَمَتَّعُونَ وَيَأْكُلُونَ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ الْأَنْعَامُ} [محمد: 12].
قم فاعمل، انهض فتعلم، تحرك ولا تكسل، لا تقعد مشلول الحركة في الجسد والعقل، لا تلم الظروف وتلعن الظلام، أضئ شمعة، فعمل ولو كان قليلاً؛ خير من سكون أو جمود.
مت قائماً، ولا تمت قاعداً.
قال عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ لكُميل: يا كميل، العلم خير من المال.
العلم يحرسك وأنت تحرس المال.
والعلم حاكم والمال محكوم عليه.
المال تنقصه النفقة والعلم يزكو بالإنفاق.
وقال علي رضي الله عنه نظماً:
ما الفخر إلا لأهل العلم إنهم ... على الهدى لمن استهدى أدلاء
وقَدْر كل امرىء ما كان يحسنه ... والجاهلون لأهل العلم أعداء
ففز بعلم تعش حياً به أبداً ... الناس موتى وأهل العلم أحياء.
ويقولُ أحمد شوقي:
والنَّاسُ صنفانِ: موتَى في حياتِهُمُ * وآخَرونَ بِبَطْنِ الأرضِ أحياءُ
