الباب الخامس:
كتاب الصيام
تعريف الصوم.

صوم التطوع:
وهو:
1 - صوم يوم عاشوراء.
2 - صوم يوم عرفة.
3 - صوم يوم الاثنين والخميس من كل أسبوع.
4 - صيام ثلاثة أيام من كل شهر، وهي الأيام البيض.
5 - صيام ستة أيام من شوال.
6 - صوم شهر شعبان.
في صحيح مسلم، (3/ 161)، 2779 - عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضى الله عنها قَالَتْ: لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِى الشَّهْرِ مِنَ السَّنَةِ أَكْثَرَ صِيَامًا مِنْهُ فِى شَعْبَانَ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ: «خُذُوا مِنَ الأَعْمَالِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَنْ يَمَلَّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا». وَكَانَ يَقُولُ: «أَحَبُّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَا دَاوَمَ عَلَيْهِ صَاحِبُهُ وَإِنْ قَلَّ».
