O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury.
يقول الله تعالى: {الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ لَا يُتْبِعُونَ مَا أَنْفَقُوا مَنًّا وَلَا أَذًى لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ * قَوْلٌ مَعْرُوفٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ يَتْبَعُهَا أَذًى وَاللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَلِيمٌ} [البقرة: 262، 263]. المنّ خُلُق ذميم لا يليق بالإنسان السوي، فكيف وهو محبط للعمل، وممحق لأجور الآخرة؟ ولو فكر المنّان بما يمنّ به لعلم أن النعمة التي يمنّ بها هي من عند الله، والله قدير على أن يسلبها منه، ويعطيها لمن يمنّ بها عليه. والمؤمن الصادق يشعر بأنه إذا أعطى صدقة لفقير محتاج؛ فإنه أصبح لهذا الفقير منّة عليه؛ لأنه كان مساعداً له في اكتسابه الثواب من عند الله تعالى. فإن كان الأمر كذلك، فكيف يشعر بمنّة على غيره، مهما أسدى لغيره من معروف، أو بذل من مال. أَيْ: لَا تُبْطِلُوا صَدَقَاتِكُمْ بِالْمَنِّ وَالْأَذَى، كَمَا تَبْطُلُ صَدَقَةُ مَنْ رَاءَى بِهَا النَّاسَ، فَأَظْهَرَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا قَصْدُهُ مَدْحُ النَّاسِ لَهُ أَوْ شُهْرَتُهُ بِالصِّفَاتِ الْجَمِيلَةِ، لِيُشْكَرَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ، أَوْ يُقَالَ: إِنَّهُ كَرِيمٌ وَنَحْوَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْمَقَاصِدِ الدُّنْيَوِيَّةِ، مَعَ قَطْعِ نَظَرِهِ عَنْ مُعَامَلَةِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَابْتِغَاءِ مَرْضَاتِهِ وَجَزِيلِ ثَوَابِهِ. أعط الآخرين من قلبك وعقلك ومالك ووقتك، ولا تقدم لهم فواتير الحساب، وإذا ساعدت غيرك فلا تطلب من الناس أن يساعدوك، وليكن عملك خالصاً لوجه الله تعالى. وإذا أنت أسديت جميلاً إلى إنسان فحذار أن تذكره، وإن أسدى إنسان إليك جميلاً فحذار أن تنساه. المنَّة تكدر النعمة، وهذه منّة المخلوق على المخلوق، وإنما قبحت منّة المخلوق، لأنها منّة بما ليس منه، وهي منّة يتأذى بها الممنون عليه، وهي مذمومة مبطلة للثواب. أقبل تعالى يخاطب المؤمنين وينهاهم نهياً صارماً عن إبطال صدقاتهم بالمن والأذى، أي: لا تضيعوا ثواب صدقاتكم بإظهار فضلكم على المحتاجين إليها. المنان: القطاع للزكاة ولا يتصدق، ولا يزكى ماله، من قوله تعالى: {لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ} أي غير مقطوع. أَخْبَرَ أَنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ تَبْطُلُ بِمَا يَتْبَعُهَا مِنَ الْمَنِّ وَالْأَذَى، فَمَا يَفِي ثَوَابَ الصَّدَقَةَ بِخَطِيئَةِ الْمَنِّ وَالْأَذَى. المنّ والأذى يُبْطِل الصدقة؛ لما فيه من جرح شعور المسكين. نهى الله تعالى عن إبطال أجور الصدقات بالمن والأذى. المنُّ بالصدقة كبيرة من كبائر الذنوب، ويبطلِ ثوابها. المنان: هو الذي يمن على من يتصدق عليه. أي لا تحبطوا أجرها بالمنِّ والأذى.
