فوائد العفو والصفح
1 - ( في العفو رحمة بالمسيء، وتقدير لجانب ضعفه البشري، وامتثال لأمر الله، وطلب لعفوه وغفرانه .
2 - في العفو توثيق للروابط الاجتماعية التي تتعرض إلى الوهن والانفصام بسبب إساءة بعضهم إلى بعض، وجناية بعضهم على بعض).
3 - العفو والصفح عن الآخرين سبب لنيل مرضات الله سبحانه وتعالى .
4 - العفو والصفح سبب للتقوى قال تعالى: {وَأَنْ تَعْفُوا أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَى وَلاَ تَنْسَوُا الْفَضْلَ بَيْنَكُمْ} [البقرة: 237] .
5 - العفو والصفح من صفات المتقين، قال تعالى: {وَسَارِعُوا إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ} [آل عمران: 133] .

7 - بالعفو تنال العزة، قال صلى الله عليه وسلم: " وما زاد الله عبدا بعفو إلا عزاً" [مسلم].

9 - في العفو والصفح الطمأنينة، والسكينة، وشرف النفس .
10 - بالعفو تكتسب الرفعةً والمحبة عند الله وعند الناس .
