للفقهاء في حكم مسح الأذنين قولان:
ذهب الحنفية والمالكية على المشهور والشافعية إلى أن([1] ) : من سنن الوضوء مسح الأذنين ظاهرهِما وباطنِهما؛ لأن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مسح في وضوئه برأسه، وأذنيه؛ ظاهرهِما وباطنِهما، وأدخل أُصبعيه في صماخ أذنيه([2] ) .
وذهب الحنابلة وبعض المالكية إلى أنه: يجب مسح أذنيه؛ ظاهرهِما وباطنِهما.
قال الحنابلة: لأنهما من الرأس؛ لقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "الأُذُنَانِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ"([3] ) .
ويسن مسحهما بماء جديد، بعد مسح رأسه؛ لما روى عبد الله بن زيد رضي الله عنه أنه رأى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يتوضأ، فأخذ لأذنيه ماءً خلاف الماء الذي مسح به رأسه([4] ) .
والمسنون في مسحهما أن يدخل سبابتيه في صماخيهما، ويمسح بإبهاميه ظاهرَهما؛ لما روى ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مسح برأسه وأذنيه: داخلهما بالسبابتين، وخالف بإبهاميه إلى ظاهر أذنيه([5] ) .
وقال الحنفية: يكفي مسح جميع الرأس والأذنين بماء واحد؛ لأنهما من الرأس، قال صلى الله عليه وسلم: "الأُذُنَانِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ"([6] ) ، والمراد بيان الحكم في الوضوء، دون بيان الخلقة.
والأظهر أنه يضع كفيه وأصابعه على مقدم رأسه، ويمدهما إلى قفاه على وجه يستوعب جميع الرأس، ثم يمسح أذنيه بأصبعيه، ولا يكون الماء مستعملاً بهذا؛ لأن الاستيعاب بماء واحد لا يكون إلا بهذه الطريقة.
