لا يخلو شخص من نقص،
من المستحيل أن تجد كل ما تريده في الطرف الآخر كاملاً..
كما أنه لا يكاد يمر وقت دون أن يشعر أحدنا بالضيق من تصرفٍ غيره .
ولهذا على كل واحد منا تقبل الطرف الآخر والتغاضي عما لا يعجبه فيه من صفات، أو طبائع، والانتباه إلى نقائص نفسك والانشغال بعيوبك.
وعينك إن أبدت إليك معايباً فصنها وقل يا نفس للناس أعين
قال الإمام أحمد بن حنبل "تسعة أعشار حسن الخلق في التغافل ".
وقال سفيان: ما زال التغافل من شيم الكرام .
التغــافل
هو تعمد الغفلة، وأن يُرى من نفسه أنه غافلُ وليس به غفلة.
هو تكلف الغفلة مع العلم والإدراك لما يتغافل عنه؛ ترفعاً عن سفاسف الأمور .
واعلم أن من الدهاء كل الدهاء التغافل عن كل ذنب لا تستطاع العقوبة عليه، ومن عداوة كل عدو لا تقدر على الانتصار منه .
إن التغافل عن ما لا يعني هو عين العقل. وقد قال الحكماء: لا يكون المرء عاقلاً حتى يكون عما لا يعنيه غافلاً .
مَنْ كَانَ يَأْمُلُ أَنْ يَسُودَ عَشِيرَةً ... فَعَلَيْهِ بِالتَّقْوَى وَلِينِ الْجَانِبِ
وَيَغُضُّ طَرْفًا عَنْ مَسَاوِي مَنْ أَسَى ... مِنْهُمْ وَيَحْلُمُ عِنْدَ جَهْلِ الصَّاحِبِ
