ذات يوم توقف رجل أمام محل لبيع الزهور كي يشتري باقة ورد ويطلب إرسالها لأمه التي تسكن على بعد 400 كم عن داره، ولكنه وجد نفسه متأخراً على موعده فقرر أن يؤجلها للغد .
وبينما هو يَهِمُّ بالرحيل شاهد فتاة صغيرة متوقفة أمام محل بيع الزهور وهي تتنهد بحزن وتهم بالبكاء، وكان يظهر عليها التعب فرقّ قلبه لها، ونزل من سيارته وذهب اليها وسألها: لما أنتِ حزينة يا ابنتي؟
قالت: أريد أن أشتري لأمي وردة حمراء فهى تحبها و لكن ليس معي نقود لشراء الوردة.
فابتسم الرجل وقال: تعالي معي إلى داخل المحل وسأشتريها لك...
فدخلا المحل واشترى لها ما تريد، وبعد ذلك عرض عليها أن يوصلها لعند أمها .
ففرحت بهذا وقالت: نعم إن سمحت خذني لعند أمي أرجوك. ..
وفي الطريق طلبت منه التوقف أمام مقبرة، فتوقف ونزلت من السيارة وذهبت إلى قبر جديد، فوضعت الوردة الحمراء على القبر، فامتلأت عينا الرجل بالدموع تأثراً من الموقف وهو يهمس لنفسه حمداً لله على وجودك يا أمي.
ثم عاد مسرعاً إلى محل الزهور وطلب باقة الورد التي أراد أن يرسلها وقرر أن يقطع 400 كم بنفسه ليوصل باقة الورد وتكون مفاجأة لها، بل أيضاً ليشكرها وتفرح به
أيها الأبناء...
إنها الآن موجودة بين أيديكم _ هي أو الوالد _
فهذا كنز انتبهوا وحافظوا عليهما فهما بابان لكم أيها الأبناء إلى الجنة.
أسعدوهما ولا تنتظروا... فتفقدوهما حتى لا تندموا بعد فوات الأوان.
